June 19, 200818 yr State Farm...PH started with them when he was 16....I love them...before we were married, I had AllState and hated them...It looks like they have changed a lot for the better. However, PH and I will never change from State Farm.

June 20, 200818 yr Like a Good Neighbor State Farm is there....Since it is my career! I am loyal to State Farm like Rocket is Progressive! Enjoy the new car Deuce...my advice is to check all the big companies and just make sure you are getting good liability limits!
June 20, 200818 yr I guess I will be a loner here. I have Met. The rates are a little higher, but they have been good in the service department and will payroll deduct for me.
June 20, 200818 yr When I did all of the research last year, State Farm came up the winner. I've used them for 4 years now and have had no problems. My wife was hit by an uninsured driver last year. State Farm offered us compensation greater than the Kelly Blue Book value and had a check ready within 4 days. Even though State Farm was out the money (the uninsured driver had no assets to go after), our rates went down the following year. During my research, State Farm's quote for auto insurance was higher than most others, but when coupled with our home owner's policy, they beat everyone else. Nationwide was close, but it wasn't worth all of the paperwork to change. That, and I had zero problems with State Farm. WORD OF CAUTION - Please get more than the minumum required insurance for your car. I believe in KY, the minimum liability insurance is $25k. Many vehicles on the road today are worth much more than $25k. Have an accident with a hummer with you at fault, and you will be responsible for any damages over $25k. I would recommend the $100k/$300k/$100k option. This allows $100k per person, $300k per accident, and $100k for any property damage. Hospital and property damage bills add up quickly. One at-fault accident with minimal insurance can ruin you both emotionally, physically, and financially.
