Sorry for the confusing "Figure of Speech"....lol

At least, I got the idea across.

Maybe running out of places to put the region championship banners and trophy's would have been a better statement. :thumb:

True that, I think the New AD at South Laurel will be willing to buy a new trophy case if the need arises.:thumb:

I wouldn't count on that just yet though. Corbin and a few other teams just might end SL's streak this year.

I think Clay Co. got two transfer in to play for the tigers. I was told that one kid is a big man who is 6'6.

Kind of off topic, but Holmes will be at South Laurel this year for any of you 13th region fans who want to see them. They play defending 3A state champ Largo (MD) who has only lost 5 games in the past two years.

Corbin played Largo last year in Lexington, the Hounds had a good shot at pulling out the win but let it get away from them the last couple of minutes.

I do not know what they are returning but that Largo team last year barely beat Corbin up at Lexington Catholic. That kinda gives you an idea of what Corbin has. They wound up pulling away in the last minute or two to win by 10 or 11. They lost 6'11" Maurice Sutton and their guard who avg about 20 ppg. It was a pretty good game. You can watch it on wazoosports.com.

I believe they lost 12 seniors from last years team. Holmes should have a pretty good shot at beating them but just wanted to let you 13th fans know that Holmes will be playing at South Laurel this coming year so if anyone wants to see them.

Corbin, returning everyone this year, should be very exciting to watch. If they can play a team like Largo to 11 points, they must really be solid. Looking forward to hopefully getting a chance to see them play.

Yes. Corbin was down 1 point with just over 1 minute to go but 2 costly turnovers in the backcourt and then fouling trying to get the ball back cost them the game. Largo made their free throws.

Clay has a transfer or two from Buckhorn who have joined their team. I think one of them was a big kid...maybe Zach Gay about 6'6. So you may want to move the Tigers into the top spot if this proves to be the case.

Zach Gay graduated from Buckhorn and is going to Berea college this year.

Adam Gay, a 6-4 sophomore, was playing on Clay's team earlier in the week. I guess that's Zach's brother.

Yea that is Zach's younger brother who played for Buckhorn last year.

Was Zach the tall slender kid with dark hair and a mustache? I remember him if so from when they played Corbin. He was a hard worker and glad to see him get to continue his career at Berea. If his brother plays like Zach, the Tigers have a nice addition.
