June 10, 200818 yr We were under a severe T-storm watch a few hours ago, but never saw a drop. Strangely enough, looking at the map, it apparently unloaded right after passing over us.

They kept buzzing at each other. I was trying to figure out a way to hook them up, so they'd be quiet. Our big attack was Brood 10 back in 2004.
June 10, 200818 yr I think we have two on each leaf. The trees are covered with them here, even the trunks. Looks like something out of a Hitchcock film. From early afternoon to early afternoon, you almost can't hear yourself think. Windy and a pretty hard rain right now, but my guess is that we keep the critters for a couple more weeks, at least.

June 10, 200818 yr My Girlfriend is terrified of the Cicadas'. She's not scared of many other bugs, but has a real problem with the Cicadas'. Needless to say, I've enjoyed every minute of them.I constantly tell her she has one on her back and she freaks every time. I've put a few dead ones in her purse. Put a live one in her car. I know, I know, I'm horrible. It's been way too much fun to pass up though.:lol:
