June 1, 200818 yr Obama's not even close to being a moderate. This is the most left candidate I've seen in my lifetime. The man makes Hillary seem moderate. :thumb:and I never thought that I would say that. Obama is dangerous, jmo.
June 1, 200818 yr Socialism and democracy are not mutually exclusive. Democracy and communisim are, but there's a difference between socialism and communism-- even though the terms are incorrectly used interchangably. Dictators can be either far right or far left- fascism and communisim for example. Socialism is a political idea, and communism is an economic structure, from what I understand. What am I missing?
June 1, 200818 yr Socialism is a political idea, and communism is an economic structure, from what I understand. What am I missing? A government can be both democratic and socialist but not democratic and communist.
June 1, 200818 yr A government can be both democratic and socialist but not democratic and communist. I am confused, could you PM me and explain why to avoid thread jacking
June 1, 200818 yr Author OK! Obama is extreme left - he makes Hillary look moderate and McCain look conservative. This thread is about McClellan's book. There is another thread on Obama being moderate. What do you think about McClellan blasting Richard Clarke's book, and then doing the same thing?

What do you think about McClellan blasting Richard Clarke's book, and then doing the same thing? He's a hypocrite and is only out to make a buck.

What do you think about McClellan blasting Richard Clarke's book, and then doing the same thing? McClellan apologized to Clarke so it's all good now. They are two peas in a pod, except Clarke was a Clinton holdover and the only reason anybody ever heard of Scott McClellan was because he hitched his wagon to George Bush's wagon. Dole had it right when he called McClellan an ingrate.

June 2, 200818 yr So this guy faithfully served the president, and now because he wrote a book telling most of us what we already expected he's lower than dirt. So if he had written a book telling us what a wonderful president we've had for seven years he would be a hero.
June 2, 200818 yr So this guy faithfully served the president, and now because he wrote a book telling most of us what we already expected he's lower than dirt. So if he had written a book telling us what a wonderful president we've had for seven years he would be a hero. That's how it usually happens no matter which side is writing the book. The betrayed side sees it as lies while their opponents hail the author as a beacon of truth.
June 2, 200818 yr He was out to make a buck. He was a virtual unknown before his attachment to the current administration. He is an ingrate and disgruntled former press secretary. Anybody can write a book.

June 2, 200818 yr I have been very displeased with several things that George Bush and the Republicans have done over the past 8 years. Knowing now what I didn't know then, Bush is STILL the best choice between Kerry and Gore and Bush. Based on what I have learned from watching the Republicans over the past 8 years, they are STILL a better choice than Obama and Hillary.
