Actually I think that is an excellent analogy for many reasons.

This is huge. If CCH can get everybody on the same page coming in as freshman, instead of having to mesh kids from a lot of different systems, it will give them a jump they've not had in the past.

Well, lets face it T and X make each other better, why should we think that Highlands and CovCath will not do the same?

Imagine with you will, a junior high program running the same type of offensive and defensive system ran at the high school level. How could this type of system in place not help the program? I grew up in Central KY and we had a city league which ran the same system from 4th grade thru high school, not only did it help me as a player but allowed coaches to coach technique versuses the system. If this program gets legs underneath it, CCH will be a very strong program in the state. I know HHS appears to be GOD in NKY but......LOOK OUT!!!! Here comes the Colonels. :fight:

Umm, Highlands has run a program exactly like this for many decades. Actually, we start our kids a little younger than 4th grade.

I've been imagining it since 1959 when Homer Rice began the Fort Thomas Jr. Football league.

with the addition of junior high football starting this year.

 

Hear me now, if Coach Brossart gets it rolling at CCH they will be in a class with T and X.

Some thoughts...

 

1. There is already a NKY that is in the same "class" as T and X, and that is Highlands... I find it odd that the guru somehow left HHS off this list, which leads me to the second point

 

2. This thread has exactly one intention behind it... and that is to stir the pot between HHS and CCH fans, nothing more and nothing less

 

3. Unless Brossart is a better coach than Chuck Smith from Boyle County (which will be unlikely, given how great he was), HHS and CCH will BOTH continue to be the class of NKY football.

Question for the guru...

 

I have noticed on several occasions over the past few years you have made comments that if CCH can change or tweak this or that, then they will dominate all of NKY, reducing HHS to a second-rate program in the region... why do you think this, and why has it not happened yet? If this is in fact the case, then doesn't it just prove the inherent advantages catholic schools have in HS sports???

CCH may not be overall the program of a Trinity or St X but they have had some teams that could have matched them mark for mark over the past few years.

 

This should be a huge boost for them.

Well it has been alittle slow lately and we all need to sharpen our preps skills, football is just around the corner.

EXCELLENT!!!! Now I know why HHS is the best school in NKY right now. Im not bias to CCH or HHS, I want this match up to be like a X and T year in and year out.
