As bad as I want them to, this team will not win a NBA title................. But, the point of this thread is, "Paul Pierce will cost the Celtics, mark it down." No matter what he does from now on, it won't change the fact that the Celtics wouldn't have advanced past Cleveland without his monster game 7 performance. The Celtics won't beat Detroit because they aren't good enough...it won't have anything to do with Paul Pierce.
May 20, 200818 yr IMO Ray Allen is hurting the team more than anything right now. Paul Pierce has been nothing short of superb throughout the playoffs. Ray Allen hasn't show his face yet and has yet to play to his ability which is the reason the Celts even faced two game 7's. Paul Pierce will cost the Celtics? I don't think so. People on here are too quick to jump the gun.

It was just as ridiculous to say it then as it would be now... Plus, I'm pretty sure the playoffs were going on May 5. In fact, I think we're into year 3 of the 2008 NBA playoffs.
