As long as it wasn't an Adam's Apple, I don't think I would mind her coaching at my school.

Amy played at Wheelersburg, signed with Uconn and then transfered to Xavier. She coached at Ironton for several years leading them to the State Finals a few years back, She currently coaches at Chillocothe.

Why not the one guy IMO who has done more good things for the boys program than anyone Perry Yates? If you can't get along with Perry YOU are a lost cause.

I may be mistaken, but I think he is a minister/pastor somewhere in the community. I could be wrong.

He was the JV coach for the boys the last 5 years. Cassity is the right choice for the job. Quality guy who really cares about the program and the girls. He would continue what Kidwell built.

Was Cassity on either staff the past few years? Does Kidwell not want to keep Parsley on the boys staff? If no, why not? What are your feelings on the Hughes girl who seems to have some impressive credentials? Do you know when a decision will be made?

Well, unless there are more than one guy with that name. I read in the obit. columns where he was the minister of a friends funeral. So, perhaps it's not the same guy. Like I said, I may be wrong. Perhaps someone closer to the Russell program could confirm or deny that.

Don't have the answers. Only opinions that I want give.

Having the kind of talent he had didn't hurt things either. He did do a good job but don't forget about the level of talent that has been there.

 

I can name a lot more teams who were talented and failed than I could talent-less teams who did great things. Coach Kidwell is a good coach who knows a great deal about basketball. The Russell girls were lucky to have him and it has showed.

Cassity has not helped Kidwell for 2 years. Not sure who is going to help Merle yet. The job posting closes on the 14th, so some time shortly after that they should have a name for us.:thumb:

From what I have heard...and this is purely speculation...Russell is very high on Hughes and love her resume'...not sayin there are favorites...but I know she is up on the list.

 

Bryan is not a contender for the job. He will be coaching with Kidwell.
