Russell Girls Opening!

I would think that the new girls coach may want to keep Renzi aboard. He is familiar with the girls and has built up some good rapport with them. I'd say the new coach will probably have Renzi on speed to keep some stability within the program!

I think they should hire Nikkie Galloway the girl's JV softball coach. If they do, I'll make sure my girl goes out for basketball. :D:D

Wow that is one interesting list, However I don't believe that Jason Clark is interested in the position. I don't even think he coaches basketball does he? I would think it will be a 3 horse race between Darell Adkins, Todd Parsley, and Phil Cassidy. Amy Hughs I believe from Chillicothe would be the possible outsider. I also look for Joe Bryan to join the boy's staff.

You are probably correct on the list , but Don't forget , whoever the head coach is , they will need Mrs Sparks and Renzi. These two are NOT replaceable, they are a must for the girls program. I wouldn't even take the job without being assured they will be there !!:thumb:

Why is he the right choice for the job?

Whoever gets the job, they will have some big shoes to fill. Coach Kidwell elevated the Russell program to one of the premiere in the area.

I have said it before and I will say it again that Cassity is the right choice for the job.

How much coaching experience does Cassity have? Just asking!! I have no dog in this fight, just would like to know the extent of his coaching experience. I have no idea what he has done.

Having the kind of talent he had didn't hurt things either. He did do a good job but don't forget about the level of talent that has been there.

I understand that, but just having a talented team does not insure a successful program. When the Faulkner's left, everyone said Russell was doomed, but they kept right on winning. I liked Merle's team this year, but it wasn't the most talented bunch he has had. He still won 17 ball games. Not bad with what he had.

Cassity has coached several years for middle school in the past and assisted Merle for a couple of years. He is great with kids and is for sure a winner ! He rarely sits when coaching and he is in every single play with them. You will NEVER see him quit in a game or show any negetive emotions toward the kids no matter what the score is.

Sam Sparks, Barnes, Hughs, Cassidy, Parsley, Chaffin, Jason Clark, Adkins, Bryan, and a host of names that will pop up.

Mr.Wong I know most of the people you have named here and Cassity by far

is the best choice!

I as well feel that Cassity is the best choice for the position.

Wouldn't say "BY FAR". Look for them to hire someone with varsity head coaching experience.

Well as you know my pick would be Cassity. If not him you might as

well put the rest of the names in a hat and draw and hope that a blank one comes out.
