They do have a nice group of young ladies coming up through the system and I hope they do well! I am just talking about all of the parents that were on here last season complaining about the coaches. Good luck WV.

 

Thanks, and nicely said. I do know that the WV faithful have voiced their concern over things they do not like, but we have high expectations. High expectations for our athletes, our students, our coaches, our teachers, our administrators, our CATS test scores, etc... When things do not go well we will voice our concerns until those high expectations are met. Seems to me more schools could benefit from having high expectations. As far as next year's Ladycats go, looking at the conference, there is no reason they cannot compete right away. As I said before, the coaches need to spend plenty of time with the young talent this summer and instill their philosophy so that they can hit the ground running October 15th.

The LadyCats were senior led last season. 9 I believe. That's going to be hard to make up. With Coach Cory Miller at the helm now, I would give them a season to get the experience and maybe contend next year.

I too believe they will be too young next year to contend in the region, but they should still be able to compete for the second seed in their district and contend for a conference championship and class "A" Regional title as early as next year. Many of the other conference and class "A" Schools lost a lot this year too.

:thumb:Well said. I wish more schools had those same high expectations. Seems as though many have lowered theirs over time for whatever reason and it shows at many of the schools that I come into contact with.

I agree. As I said earlier, I believe that it will take a couple of years before WV will contend for the "All A". It's going to take some time and alot of hard work from the girls and the coaches. I hope everyone understands that the next couple of years will be putting the pieces in place for success for possibly several years to come. Be realistic and patient. Good things should come.

It will at least take a year or two for rebuilding. Last year the softball team recieved a new coach and they only won 8 games. This year they have already won about 15 games. They also won the 8th region All A Classic. Big things can happen if you want it bad enough.

WV girls basketball looks very bright for the future. They have very good coaches in Miler and Trame, plus not to mention that the girls going into the 9th grade next year will be a very special unit in high school. All these girls play for the same AAU team that dominates on the AAU circuit.

Thanks, I will wait with bated breath for the sage words from one so enlightened. I am sure it will be a complete suprise to me and the rest of the BP world.

I think Walton will have it's up's and down's this coming season, but will see good things at times. No proven, "go to girl" yet, like Hargett and such, but will have a good season of learning things they might have missed these last few season. Ready for the season.

Will Cheesman be at WV next yr?

 

Heard from a reliable source that Cheesman has transferred to Ryle. IMO, I don't think this is a smart move on her part because she probably won't see alot of playing time. Definitely not the PT that she would have seen at WV.
