Saw her play tonight and it wasn't for WV.

If there is any talent there Coach Miller and Trame will turn it around. They are not only GREAT coaches, but some of the best people you will ever meet. Just good people to have with you. WV is very lucky, HC is going to sorely miss both men as coaches and people.

They looked pretty impressive at Ludlow's Team Camp in their victory over Scott High School. The athleticism of the post players will be what makes them strong.

I think the key will be the guard play. The post players are young and have alot of potential but it will be up to the guards to get them the ball and control the tempo of the game.

I agree Madman. The Ginn girl looked good tonight, but I am not sure she is the calming influence you would like to see from the point guard. Clinkenbeard is another possible option, but she is more of a two and very young. They played a 7th grader named Mulligan?? last night. She looks like she has potential, but is still just a seventh grader.

Their youth will definitely hurt them this year. They will not be as physically strong as the better teams and will be pushed around. Also, I think the pressure defense will hurt these youngsters but it will be a learning experience and hopefully pay-off in a year or two. They've got two good coaches who will provide guidance and leadership.

Maybe she has an anxiety disorder. Just kidding. Never seen her out of control much. Imo she never claimed to be a point guard and don't care to be one.

She handles the ball well, and passes well, but overall I do not see this as a good move on her part. She is a bit fragile and often hurt in games and that was before she made the scouting reports of opponents.

 

Did they move, or did she just transfer. I know that her dad is a coach for Ryle and that she is only going to be a freshmen so no KHSAA rules to worry about. Just wondering if it will be an option to transfer back when things do not go well there. (and would she be welcome back at WV?)

Cheesman ? Anyone would have to be stronger than her, she crumpled

at the slightest contact

The change in coaches should account for a big swing in performance. Having not seen their schedule, I would still guess over .500 and with losing 9 seniors, that ain't too shabby.

Interesting. I don't believe they moved. I was thinking the same thing. I don't know if BCSS is accepting tuition kids but if they aren't, there might be a problem. Her dad is a para-professional coaching and I don't believe that exempts them from moving to make her eligible.

I agree with your assessment. All I'm saying is that since most of them are very young underclassmen, they won't be as physically strong as the junior/senior dominated teams. I don't know if they will be .500 due to the youth and lack of team chemistry. Give them another year or two and Walton should make some noise.

Absolutely not true. She is loving Thomas More and Coach Neal. Doing very well in summer ball and thrilled so far with her decision.

Knowing that family, I would doubt they would be willing to come back with their tails between their legs to WVHS and try to make nice. My bet would be that they would move if they had to.
