April 27, 200818 yr Like I said it depends on the situation. Brohm is in a great one. Great team all around. Young, extra picks, depth, solid Oline, great young skill guys, pressure is on Rodgers and maybe most importantly he is in a West Coast Offense! That is HUGE IMO. It's all about precision passing, great play-action etc. That is his forte! I felt like Henne to Miami was about the closest thing you could get to a QB lock in this draft. Same thing they want a big tough guy that can be accurate down the field and that's Henne's forte!
April 27, 200818 yr I think Flacco could be best in this class and I hate to say that with him at Baltimore. I think they got a steal in Rice if he doesn't have too much mileage. Falco is a beast of a QB! His arm strength is ridiculous! The thing about him that Baltimore seems to have not learned is that the Ravens NEVER have a threat at WR. Just like in buisiness etc "you are only as successful as those you surround yourself with".
April 27, 200818 yr Brohm should have come out last year and it has cost him millions of dollars. I think many are selling Ryan short on here... What were the red flags on Brohm? I heard Jaws mentioning making throws outside the numbers...injuries...west coast system QB...what caused Brohm to fall to bottom half of the second round?

If I remember correctly he was rated as the top QB at one point during the season, wasn't he?

April 27, 200818 yr Woodson dropped a lot too. If I remember correctly he was rated as the top QB at one point during the season, wasn't he? Woodson never really dropped in my opinion...you can go back and look at my posts, I never thought Woodson was as good as many were making him out to be...he has always had deficiencies. Now stock wise, he probably did...after the season. Brohm would have been an easy first rounder last year....easy.

As much as I hate to do it... i'm gonna have to disagree with you. I still think he is picked at about the same time.. no way he goes before Quinn last year.

I don't think the Brohm family is too strung up in their financial 'woes', and Brian knew he couldn't pay any amount of money to get that extra season in with the Cardinals, enjoying the college life and the Louisville stardom. I doubt he regretted his decision. Plus he got drafted in a good time by a good team. I don't feel bad for him and I think he'll be just fine.
April 27, 200818 yr For those of you so big on Flacco, how many times have you seen him play? I really don't know much about him either way because I've never personally seen him in a game before. He did transfer to Delaware because he couldn't beat out an un-drafted QB who is fighting to stay on the Saints practice squad...
April 27, 200818 yr Brohm should have come out last year and it has cost him millions of dollars. I agree that it cost him millions and I won't fault him for wanting to come back. However, I find it amazing that he dropped so far. If Louisville has a good season last year, he's right there at the top like he would have been in last year's draft. It seems like his stock plummeted because the Cards had an awful defense...
April 27, 200818 yr Brohm will be on a good young team. Ryan will have high expectations and a horrible team for years to come. I think Brohm will do much better...

That's why I asked, what happened to his stock. Was something exposed? I mean Flacco played at Delaware and his stock went through the roof... I don't quite think that the Cardinal defense had much to do with it...it had to be something... Did he not have very good workouts after the season? Something had to happen.
