What kind of schedule does Frankford have and how should they stack up in their district?

What is sad one of the House of Reps is a Alumnus and teacher in the system. He hasn't done anything to assist the school system. Hopefully he soon will be replaced.

 

Now now Bucket... he is only one man on the house floor and it not like what he say goes and if you knew politics is one man running the show and it's not our Alumnus teacher.

The schedule is pretty much the same as last season. And we should win the district pretty easy.

Pretty strong statement there CB if you have heard or been near the school you know what's going on. Its not that its his fault in any way nor does he have a chance to do anything right now, we barely can keep a principal at FHS for one year. And we are getting another next year. So if he goes its pretty much the whole staff besides foley, that's sad to say so I don't think him leaving would help anything.

Due to the the state having so many state offices in the district, the district misses out on tax revenues. Senator Carroll proposed legislation to have the state off set the cost of missed tax dollars. The state has done this before in other areas. Any way my point is he should have done this, he understands the situation. He grew up there. This is the type of work he should be doing.

 

I will get off my soap box, this is football forum not polictics. It is a shame the school lost Ms. Rector. It could have been prevented. She will be missed, she did a great job while she was there.

Is the answer consolidation?

 

The Frankfort area currently has 3 high schools. The population is currently around 48,000 people and minimal growth is projected in the next 25 years. Compare that to Scott Co. that has 1 high school and a population of a little over 40,000. Projected to grow to over 64,000 in the next 25 years. They hang on to having one high school, and have great facilities and powerhouse sports programs. They are building a technical school to alleviate some of the over crowding (I assume), but are making a point to hang on to one high school one community concept.

 

I only ask the question to see what others think. By no means am I suggesting this to fly in the face of the Frankfort High Alumni and their tradition.

 

I personnally think sports programs in Frankfort/Franklin Co would be much more competetive with only two high schools.

That's an intersting idea, Fanofthe11th... I don't think it would go over well with Frankfort alumni (like you said). But I agree that sports programs would probably be stronger overall.

 

What would that solution look like, Franklin Co. and Western Hills splitting the Independent district.. maybe So. Frankfort to Hills and across the river Downtown to County?

 

That would create a strong two school rivalry in sports, although Frankfort (High) fans may be disinterested at the start. I do think that would help Western Hills' (football) program alot to get Frankfort's kids.

 

But as for Frankfort 2008, that's not gonna happen, and while there are some question marks, I see the city championship coming down to the game between County and High. As to who might win at this point, I have no idea.
