April 5, 200818 yr Who would be some that the bengals would have a legitimate shot at going after? Is the field strong this year for good receivers in later rounds?
April 5, 200818 yr Who would be some that the bengals would have a legitimate shot at going after? Is the field strong this year for good receivers in later rounds? You should be able to find some draft ranking sites that do a good job of breaking down all the prospects. Something like this LINK I like this LINK better.
April 5, 200818 yr If they get either Ellis or Dorsey in the first, I wouldn't mind seeing them get James Hardy from IU in the 2nd. I think there is a good chance he is there....and with all the good WR this year, maybe even early 3rd.
April 5, 200818 yr Thomas is the hottest name out there right now. Hardy would be a good choice. I think the kid from Okl got busted with pot the other day. Deucett+Manningham have dropped a lot and could probably be had at a decent time in the draft. There are a good bit of WR's + RB's in this draft IMO.

Did Hardy also have domestic charges brought against him at one time?
April 5, 200818 yr I really like Limas Sweed of Texas. He is ranked as the 6th WR on Scout.com, but I really like him. He is tall and fast. He is 6-5 with a 4.50 40 time. I think he would be a good pick with one of out 3rd round picks if he is still there.
April 5, 200818 yr How 'bout a Harry Douglas...should be a steal! I think they should take him with the 9th pick.

April 5, 200818 yr There aren't any true #1 wide recievers this year. But the draft is stocked with legitimate 2,3 and 4's. I could see them drafting 2 Wr's in the latter rounds
April 5, 200818 yr What about Manningham from Michigan? I love Mario, being a Michigan fan, but I am not big on small WR....Plus he will be gone before the Bengals are ready to draft a receiver.

April 6, 200818 yr I'll be suprised it the Titans don't snag Sweed for Vince since they have the Texas connection. Manningham had a pretty bad 40 I think that hurt his draft stock. Early Deucet (sp) was #1 going into the season and has dropped. I know he was banged up most of the year at LSU but he has sleeper potential. Thomas and Hardy are the guys that seem to have moved up. Jackson is pretty small I think. I think he will be a better returner than anything. There are quality WR's that could help out down the road. Most wideouts struggle starting off and usually bloom about their 3rd year. We know how good Calvin Johnson is and the season took it's toll on him. A guy that has gotten very little pub that I think the Bengals could snatch up later on..... Keenon Burton:)
