The ball traveled around 150 feet passed the fence of 310. It was a moon shot, but like I said, this guy has hit plenty like that before. The Major Softball players use a website so I posed the question of how far they hit it. These guys are making serious jack (6 figures) playing softball.. The Conference Tournaments that are played in the stadiums these fields are usually between 325' and 340' down the lines. If you can hit it around 330' to 345' that will be enough for a homerun. I would guess that most of the Major and "A" hitters probably average between 330' to 375' consistently. I don't know of many guys that are consistently hitting it 400' and there are only a select few who hit it over 400'. The big boys do hit some that far, but not on a regular basis. Telling me that this guy does it all the time is hard to believe. I would go to the park and take a tape so you know you are right and mark it off from Home Plate, don't go by what the fence says and put a stake out at the 450' mark and see how far that really is. Now have someone try and get him out while pitching to him, flat & fast, knuckle balls, go all out with the herkie-jurkie motions and see if he can really hit like the big boys, if he can hit off a real good pitcher then someone at the upper level needs to take a look at this young man. As a coach we all are looking for good talent and if he is as good as you say he is, then he needs to be playing with the best and against the best.
March 24, 200818 yr Author Miken rerelased the Freak this year. So just buy one of those. If you play ASA, that's your fault! I took last year off but am back playing competetve ball this year. We have already played in one tournament and 2nd one is coming up next weekend. Worlds is in Disney again this year so we will be in Orlando come September! We don't travel too far, Columbus, IN, Columbus, OH, Indy, and some Lexington I believe this season. I am currently swinging the Easton White Stealth but may be buying a new bat in a few weeks. I don't think the rereleased freak will do the original it's justice. ASA is all the area that I live in offers for some reason. So you like your stealth ? Heard anything good or bad on the Jeff Hall edition Mutant ?

I'm glad you did some research. I guess that makes me a liar, huh???? I was there... I watched the ball travel that distance... we measured the shot. I've seen this guy hit plenty of balls that for in game action. What are you trying to prove. I have NO reason to make this up. If that was the case, I would have said that I hit one 450. The fact of the matter is, I have only hit 11 homeruns in my career. I play on a team that hit a lot of homeruns. We have some heavy hitters. At least four of our players can venture past 400 feet on a semi-regualr basis.

Does anyone know how the fields look in the 'Ville, I don't live there, so I don't know if they are bad or not.
