Holmes is the best defensive team in Kentucky that I've seen this year and Arrez Henderson is by far the best individual defensive player. He locked down Landon Slone of Paintsville and Vee Sanford of Lex. Cath like I've not seen before in which a player simply locks 'em up and takes them out of the game.

 

Also, just how poised this team is to be so very young. The Johnson brothers are sophomores and Elijah Pittman is also another incredible sophomore!

 

David Henley has done a masterful job and has a team that plays very unselfishly and they don't get rattled very easy...some teams have tried to get into their heads but to no avail.

If Setty does not play it will be a totally different ballgame. If not for him they would not have made it through the first round. He would definitely be the difference maker. I did hear them say on the radio that he hurt himself somehow on a play but he continued the rest of the game.

 

Being hurt wont be the issue. If the kid is standin' he will play. How effective may be in question, but he will play. But the story on the T is different...

To say they don't get rattled easily is an understatment. If the things that happened at the end of the Paintsville game and being down 19 to 4 to the #1 ranked team in the state didn't rattle them, I don't know that you will find anything that will...

I don't see why Setty wouldn't be able to play. Yes, he got a technical, but you can still have a technical foul and play in another game. Isn't it 2 techincal fouls that a player will get ejected and not be able to play. Was Setty ejected from the ball game? If so, then maybe he's not allowed, but I didn't hear them say he was ejected.

From what I understand, as long as he didn't get ejected, he's still okay to play.

It's an exciting extended weekend in Maysville. First the state championship game tonight. Then Monday we have George Clooney coming to town.
