Medium rare, leaning toward rare, with a dry rub of some sort. Best place to have one is the Stock-Yard Restaurant in Nashville.

Well done. Cooked on the grill with Vidalia onions and Morel mushrooms.

I'll take mine medium rare with those morels and vidallia's please. :thumb:

I like mine with extra E. coli.

Oh, wait a minute, I thought we were talking about ground beef. My bad.

I like mine Medium with nothing else unless it is Sirloin I will need some A1. Sometimes its good to have Bernaise with a Filet. My favorite is a NY Strip. Definitely best steak I have ever had is Malone's in Lexington. Both locations are great. My old roommate could grill a good one too.

And as a shout out to Chef Jon, he could make a great steak at The Grill at Maywood in Bardstown.

Rare to mid-rare is best for me. I can't really remember the last time I had a steak at a restaurant. A) It's too expensive, and B) Can't any one of those jokers do it as well as me anyway. So why not pay less, do a minor amount of work and have a better meal?

You should go out to Maywood some evening and try something Chef Jon prepares though. Tough to beat.

Interesting. MK is going to owe me a favor here soon, so maybe I can get him to buy me dinner. :D

There ya go. If not, just tell them to charge it to my account.

Medium well at Buckhead Mountain Grill or Charlie's in Oak Grove.

At home, medium well on the grill with Cavender's Greek Powder.

If it isn't still moving and mooing, it's been cooked too long.

A friend of mine has said this at the restaurant before when they ask how he wants is cooked.

"Just let it see the flame."

:laugh: I also like " Just shave it, wipe it's butt and run it by me. I'll stab off a hunk myself."
