The dispatchers and police officers job just became more hectic. Drive off's will be high on the agenda. I don't think we have seen the highest price yet. I'm sure there are more jumps coming in the near future. The sad part is when the gas price goes up everything else follows suit....(except your wages)

We got rid of our gas guzzlers in the fall and have cut out duplicate trips. Instead of Walmart 3-4 times a week, once a week at most. We don't run, run, run, just for the sake of running. We go when necessary.

March 11, 200818 yr Just an FYI in case you're looking for the cheapest gas--I was on a Chipotle run for lunch and noticed that the Kroger in Hyde Park still has gas at $3.17/gallon.

March 11, 200818 yr Many stations in Maysville increased from $3.25 to $3.35 this morning. Diesel is around $3.75. I may have to claim the couple of gallons of gas I have in the garage for the lawn mower as a fixed asset on my daughter's college application forms.

It is a China/India thing. Their economies have grown and their demand for gas has risin since 2000 from my understanding. You increase the demand with OPEC limiting the supply and basic economics will tell you that price rises. If guru only let 100 people join BGP and 1,000 wanted to join, what do you think would happen to the subscription price.

According to this link http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/03/business/worldbusiness/03cnd-oil.html?hp Oil prices have tripled since about the same time. With that reasoning, gas prices should have tripled since crude oil prices have tripled. Something must have been going on to not have that passed on to consumers. In addition, the 2nd link shows that after adjusting for inflation the highest cost for crude oil actually occurred in 1980 after the run of that notorious oil baron Jimmy Carter.
