It seems like it would have been announced somewhere if the school is closing. Otherwise, there will be eligibility issues.

 

I was thinking the same thing. If it's such a sure bet, why have I not read a single article about this school closing? And I don't see the basketball program stopping this year and the school closing next year. There will be eligibility issues like crazy with this.

This is what ive heard but most of you already know.

Cox and Hall have transferred to KCC.

Collins left during a team meeting and is goin to LCC.

Amburgey will be replace by possibly Trent.

 

I dont blame this kids for transferring. They will shine now with different coaches.

With all of these kids supposedly transferring in, why would Knott get rid of their coach? Someone stated earlier that their coach was doing a good job. Didn't Knott use to be a 14th region power back in the early 90's?

Year in year out there has always been talk of Knott Central's boys basketball team getting a new coach all because of the reputation of 2 and out. Justin has done a very good job with what he has been given. When he has been allowed to do what he wanted with the team looked what he got, a district title. It only seems like the boys basketball team is in this situation. At one point in time it was the football team too, but they have found a coach who is turning the program around. Knott Central needs to give Justin, along with any other coach a chance. You can't expect great things out a coach in 2 years. Unless of course the coaches name is Al Holland. Knott Central has a bright future as of right now but unless they can get a coach and KEEP him they are going no where fast.

They were also a much bigger school. Enrollment has declined over the years.

I still haven't seen anything on June Buchanan closing. They all could be back with the Crusaders if they want to play next year.

They just can't close down. They have to finish out the ninth grade and up before closing.

I've never heard of that rule. Schools close all the time. There will be eligibility issues if it stays open for the ones who left.

There was nothing about the school closing or program being dropped. Do the parents of the players moving think their sons will be eligible?

Ii heard today that they offered the head coaching job at JBS to Josh Cook...has any1 else heard this?

I have heard about this up here at NKU via one of my roommates. He attended JBS for a few years in elementary school and still keeps up with how things are going down there (I think he's still kind of friends with some of the guys). My roommate is a firat-year freshman that would have, obviously, graduated from JBS if his parents hadn't moved to Maysville (he finished his schooling in the Maysville St. Patrick school system).

 

Well to make a long story short, I was talking to him about the upcoming Sweet 16 and we agreed that JBS had tanked it this season and could've been there again this season. When we got done talking about the Sweet 16, he brought up the fact that JBS was closing in the very near future. I was floored cause I hadn't heard anything about it. I had been meaning to post something in the General Discussion forum on here but forgot about it until I saw this thread.
