Stepp will not be there, he will be going out of state to a prep school or up state somewhere closer to where his brother will be playing college basketball, which is unknown at this time.

Word is he and Tate are close friends but pretty sure he will be at Letcher Central next year where he is from. He will make them a great team because I'm pretty sure they only lose one. Should be another tough district next year between these two teams.

You're talking about Cavanaugh (sp?) Trent from Letcher County Central. That rumor has been floating around for a while now. My understanding is that the Cox family and Stamper family are firmly behind Amburgy..

Ooh, I hadn't heard that Hammonds wouldn't be the baseball coach next season. Cavanaugh would be a good one. Great baseball player in his days. He is Coach Dean's assitant at LCC right now. If he would be coming in as the assitant basketball coach, who would be the Head?

Are you sure about the baseball coaching position? My source says that he will be the head basketball coach.

 

Also, Amburgey is doing a great job. But like I have posted and posted in the past, KCC changes coaches every 2 years. You can't build a program like that. It's stupid. Really stupid.

If the school closes or drops its program, they should be OK. If not, they probably won't be eligible the way the rules read.

I was told there were 3 JBS visitors to KCC yesterday and as of 3:00 P.M. that Cox was a Patriot. The other 2 will follow this week. No mention of Stepp.

 

 

Same thing I heard from inside the systems. I also heard that Collins walked out on a team meeting either yesterday evening or today as a result of not wanting to play under the system anymore.

I seen it coming. I just thought that it would be sooner. And all this is coming to KCC. You have 3-4 kids from JBS and then all those now on KCC's team now, and the egos start. It may burst Knott's basketball program. I would hope not.

It seems like it would have been announced somewhere if the school is closing. Otherwise, there will be eligibility issues.
