Holmes by 20, their athleticism is too much for Dixie Heights in the end.

Now I've just got to decide what time I want to get there. I don't want to stand in the cold forever, and I really don't expect a big turnout.

The gym will be cleared in between games so I really don't think it matters. You could probably show up at 8 and still not have to stand in the cold.

I don't think the gym should be cleared. They should just ask the folks from the first game to move to the upper section to make room for people coming to the next game.

Considering this year's matchups, I don't think it will be too bad. However, in past matchups, you had to get there early and stand in line to get in and get a seat. But, IMO, it's a good thing to clear the gym between games. For one, it guarantees that the parents can get in and watch their kids play. Secondly, it allows the student sections to form to create the wild atmosphere, although that probably won't be the case with this game. It will be so nice next year when it's at NKU.

Holmes is long, lean, athletic and quick. As we found out they are able to exploit a zone simply through athleticism if you allow the underneath passes. I think they were working specifically on their inside game against the Tigers and purposely weren't shooting the three much. Just a guess on my part maybe, but I've seen them hit from outside on a couple of other ocaissions. Dixie is a bit slow on defense by comparison. If they pack it in and deny interior ball movement they could force Holmes to have to attack from the outside. Dixie will also have to take good care of the basketball. Holmes thrives off of forced errors and turnovers. Take care of the ball, BOX OUT and force an outside game by Holmes and Dixie has a more than legit shot. The question is, can they do all those things AND play well enough offensively to score in the 50's plus? I really doubt it.

Holmes' press will wear down the Dixie guards. You have to be able to get the ball up the court in order to get it to your big fella and I dont see them doing this consistenly enough. I also think it will be tough to keep the high flying Dogs off the boards. Holmes should win this one 74 - 56.

That's the thing. Dixie can slow down Holmes defensively with a zone, but it will only work so long . Offensively Dixie will struggle to score. Anyone who was at the first match up saw Dixie struggle just to get the ball to midcourt.

Question...Say I want to catch the St Henry -CCH game and the Holmes-Dixie game. Would I have to exit the gym and then pay to get in to the Holmes game as well? Or is the point of clearing the gym to make room for the other school's fans and then the folks who attended game 1 are allowed to attend game 2 as well, just have to find a different seat?

I'm taking Holmes in this game. Dixie has a great team but they cannot keep up with the Holmes. Holmes by enough...

You have to pay again. I always got a kick out of that:creepy:

I think Holmes comes out on top but only by 4..

Could always get there around 745 and pay to just stand outside of the gym and watch the end while waiting for the Holmes Dixie game. There's always a way to beat the system that they come up with. :D

You can't get in until the gym is cleared from the 1st game ( I think). But you could ditch in the restroom right at the end of the 1st game.

I'll be watching both on TV, that'll teach 'em.
