Keener was a nice player the other 2 not so much LUbrano was a work horse and could shoot a little no comment about muzzilo but just so you know that team had a 500 record and was ranked 7th in the area... This years team is 20-11 and they were hit by the injury bug pretty badly

All I can say is the 9th region is down this year compared to that year.

The people on bluegrass preps loves Homes... Holmes is beatable. New Cath beat them so lets stop acting like Dixie is going up against Jordan and the Bulls. Holmes may win but expect a hard fought game it won't be a blowout dixie has a nice team. Before I leave a couple years ago #1 Holmes was upset by who? The Red Colonels....

 

1.Newcath is the only team to beat Holmes this year from the 9th and it was on last second free throws which gave them a one point lead.

 

2. Nobody said they were going up against Jordan and the Bulls, people are just realists and realize Dixie doesn't have the horses to compete with Holmes athletically or talent wise. In the first game Holmes led by as many as 27 with Clark, Henderson, and Avery all on the bench then Henley started putting subs in which allowed Dixie to cut it to the final margin of 15.

 

3. Do you honestly think Dixie beats Holmes that year in region if Rice didn't get kicked off the team? Holmes beat Dixie the night after he got kicked off the team by 15 at Dixie (68-53). And I believe Covcath was ranked #1...not Holmes.

Injury bug or not, after seeing them against Conner at full strength, they have a long way to go in the next few days if they want to compete with Holmes. Hate to break it to you but Dixie doesn't match up well with Holmes. Mace struggled last time with CLark down low and Dixie has nobody who can stop Henderson or R. Johnson.

 

But as you said, it's only Sunday. Guess we'll just have to wait until Tues to find out.

I hope Dixie wins because I like rooting for the underdog, but of course I know they will not win because, Holmes already beat them this year (by 15 points without anyone playing for them and it could have been worse) and no one ever has lost to a team in the regular season then beat them in the post season.

Your sarcasm can be smelled a mile away. Nobody is saying Dixie can't beat Holmes. Everyone is pretty much predicting it to be a long shot though as Dixie really doesn't have the horses to match up with Holmes athleticism on both offense and defense.

No point during the regluar season trying to slow the game down for dixie. Meaning see if you can play with them now if not you know what to try in regions. This is just my opion. Dixie slowed the game down then because Holmes allowed them to. They didn't have the depth to press like they do now. It will be tough for Dixie to slow the game down with Holmes pressing them the whole game.

 

Also, only few are predicting Holmes to totally blow them out by 20+. People who actually have seen these teams play multiple times, think it will be a 10-15 point game.

 

And nobody has made Holmes sound like they are god compared to everyone in the region. Everyone knows the region can't be won without beating CCH. 7 people picking Dixie to win out of 89 just means there are a lot more people who like Holmes chance of winning rather than Dixie's.

Holmes is just too fast and strong. I actually believe that Holmes is better at this point in the season than they were last season.
