I wanted to be a truck driver when I was very young. I then thought I would be a professional athlete.

when I was young all I could think about was playing MLB.

Playing for the Boston Celtics.

Not much call for 5'11" slow guy with no jumping ability.:irked:

From the moment I taught myself how to play Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life" on my old Roy Rogers toy guitar, I've wanted to be a rock star. I'm still holding out hope ...

I must be delirious, did I read Jim Shue playing a Debby Boone song on a Roy Rogers toy guitar?

:laugh: One time, when I was young, a telephone repair man came to the house. It was all mom and dad could do to keep me from leaving with him. I had a bag packed and everything.
Your name wouldn"t be Opie Taylor would it ?

I dreamed of being a truck driver.... and if you knew me now, you would know how ridiculous that sounds.

I dreamed of playing in the state tournament at Rupp Arena for my home town high school (One trip ever-1960). Never made it but got really close

(28-1 when we lost in the regional as a prohibitive favorite) . I went to the sweet sixteen every year from age 10 and still go.

Hands down to play for the REDS!

I did run away from home when I was 6 years old because I didn't get a pair of Tony Dorsett Pro Keds turf shoes. I packed all of my underwear in a bag and hid under a willow tree at our neighbors house. I got scared when nobody came looking for me so I went home. I eventually go the shoes:)

I can't tell you how many days I spent throwing a ball off of our chimney training to be a RED!
