Well, MY "Morehead source" tells me that there is no coaching vacancy at Rowan County, and with Breeden's reputation of verbal abuse towards players, he probably wouldn't be a candidate @ RC anyway. This all got started through gossip. Anybody can get on here and make stuff up...just watch how fast it spreads. BTW, Tubby Smith is the next candidate @ RC if it does come open, and Bobby Knight and Kyle Macyare going to be co head coaches of the girls next year.

Well, I guess you could say he was the recipient of somebody else's hard work then, b/c he went in his first year at RC. That's your logic.

 

My logic is that anyone around the girl's program has known that this year's team would be special. Again, I'm not saying he's done a bad job or anything, I'm just saying that this is a great team.

Sounds like you too are putting stock in second hand information. If memory serves me correctly, one of the newspaper articles that reported the incident had a quote from the Superintendent stating that he anticipated a letter of resignation. I wouldnt consider such a reprt to be gossip. Now this doesnt mean that a letter of resignation was ever actually given but without a follow up report on the subject one is left to assume.....

Like previously statet, right now there is no vacancy to my knowledge just speculation.

 

If there was a Breedan was available, by all means Rowan should take him. I just stated that if he weren't a candidate Tackett would be a good coaching hire. I'm not basing this just on this years success with the Lady Vikings, he was also an assistant coach for West Carters boys for a few seasons, and did a wonderful job. He along with Jason Greene helped mold this years Comets during their freshmen and sophomore years. It's not the resume' that makes him a good candidate, it's how much he gives to the game and his players. They play hard for him, he makes them believe that they can attain their goals. No he shouldn't/wouldn't get the job over Breedan, but if a coach with unrefusable credentials doesn't apply then he should definitely get along look.

 

Bravesfan, if I know ole' Scott like I think I do he would tell you that his offensive production comes from hardnosed pressure defense. But, he can also coach offense.

 

On a side note, what he's doing at Rowan is incredible. As someone else mentioned, he took a team coming off of a bad situation and held them together and remained the top team in the region.

I was unfamiliar with the situation, but do know now after the google search. That is crazy. I am a little confused though, how many boys does Daniel have? I though his son already graduated.

5 day suspension was up last Wednesday. Coach Zahari was at the draw and he will coach Rowan on Thursday. While a letter of resignation may not have been accepted yet, I feel confident that it will. I am not trying to spread a rumor about Coach Daniel. I have great respect for the man and consider him a friend. He made a mistake, haven't we all? My aim was to let people know that Coach Breeden is interested in the job when it becomes open and I am sure it will at some point in the near future.

First of all, Coach Daniels has taken a leave of absence!!!! If Breeden is interested then have him to send in a resume like everyone else will do. For someone who didn't want to talk about this subject the first night it came out you sure are giving your opinion now.
