How is that helping them for the future? All they know is when they get spanked, to stop what they are doing. Some kids might understand why they need to stop, but some will just know that when mommy or daddy is mad, some one did something wrong. In the future, that could still relate and they may the same things anytime anyone gets mad.

I have 3 teenagers. I have whipped all of them at one time or another. Sometimes all 3 at once. Now it is take the car, the playstation, or cell phone. And occasionally they still will get a smack on the... I do not agree w/ child abuse. If I have gave them a chore to do and it is not done right, they do it again. For us women, if we didn't get the dishes clean the first time, how many heard you'll clean every dish in the house? My dad never had to punish us, we knew with the look or the tone of voice. Mom, on the other hand, had 4 to care for 24/7. I got what I deserved. And I did what I was told!!!

It's a proven fact that some kids respond to some things differently. I do not have to have kids to know that.

Different children need different forms of discipline. Spanking just doesnt work on some children and other children it is a great form of teaching / discipling.
