I don't know if Listerman is keeping a couple of tricks up his sleeve or not, but drawing Highlands in the first round probably doesn't factor into the thought process. The winner of this game could just as easily be in line for a second round matchup with Highlands as the loser getting them in the first round.

True but I much rather meet them in the semi's and have a game to prepare for them playing a lesser team to work on things than have to gameplan for them right off the bat.

 

With that being said though, I think we'll see a Highlands/CCH first round match up instead of a Holmes/Highlands first round match up.

Neither CovCath nor Holmes will pull out all the tricks in this one. They both know that they may have to may face Holmes in the quarters or semis, but neither of these two teams (or coaches) care about that. They are thinking solely about a finals matchup with the other 35th district team. Not to say that they are looking past Highlands, but rather they know that this game will not end the season.

If either Holmes or CovCath is looking past Highlands, that is a SERIOUS mistake - they took Holmes to overtime without Nic Simpson, and McGraw put up some big numbers on Holmes. Arrez missed part of that game, but still he did not shut down McGraw like he did Sorrell.

It would be a waste of time for a fan of either side to try to rationalize the first game these two played. If you're Holmes, you say your team missed so many easy shots. If you're CCH, you say that your team only had one ballhandler to handle the press and now they will have two. Both are legit. Tossup IMO.

If HHS shoots the ball well it will be very difficult for CCH to pull this one off.

630...I'd get there around 530 if you want a decent parking spot. Game won't sell out, as Holmes has enough seating capacity to host a huge game like this, but it will be packed to the ceiling for this matchup.
