Bert Richey. The previous coach at Grant County. Very funny. He yelled at a player to go steal the ball from another player one time...the player was a teammate! I don't know what would have happened if she had actually done it...how would you stat that?? A turnover or a steal??? :jump:

He can be seen yelling some similar one-liners at Highlands games supporting the coach, his wife Jaime, from the stands.

Coaches like Fookes, Doyle & Gilley. Even Richey. All have very passionate styles to their coaching...fans seem to either love 'em or hate 'em, no in between, but very fun to watch!

Good post!

Although not a fan of hers... Nell Fookes is a sight to watch. I know that I would hate to be the cobbler that tends to the sole of her shoes!!!!

I enjoy watching the Lafayette coach for obvious reasons...

He's off the sidelines now, but one of my all-time faves is Jerry Hancock, who coached at Boyle County and Muhlenberg South. Fun to watch during a game, fun to talk to afterward — and a darn good coach, too.

Mac Whitaker, Harrison Co..

One that I always thought was funny to see coaching was former Clay County coach Donnie Gray....he could really work over the officiating crew and you could tell when things weren't going the way of the Lady Tigers because his face and bald part of his head would be blood red due to anger.

While Rhett Gibson was coaching he was always fun to watch. Randi Napier is fun to watch as well, sometimes.

I can't remember his name, but the former girls coach at Fleming-Neon used to put on a show. He rarely sat down and hollered at something or someone the entire game. And believe me, you could hear him. He coached there for a long time.

Former Boone County girls coach Ben Coffman used to also if I remember correctly.

Jeff Brown -- Morgan Co

Merle Kidwell -- Russell

Both good choices

Plato must be a wise man.

In all seriousness, the Boone Co. girls coaches so hard, she is impossible not to watch.
