The statement was "more and more of our imports are from other countries." This statement is wrong since you cannot get "more" when "ALL" our imports come from other countries.

I think its great that the Europeans love Obama. We'll send him right over. I think he'll make a great prime minister for one of the socialist nations.

I was really afraid that I would insult the French with that statement. The French probably have more backbone than the Clintons and Obama combined.

Europe and what they think about America shouldn't matter. I don't want an American president to try to pander to the Europeans over "OUR" policies. We need to stand strong. I don't expect Europeans to like our policies. I don't like theirs. If I did, I would probably move over there. It has nothing to do with respect. You can respect others or their opinions without necessarily liking or agreeing with them. I can respect European policy for just that, European policy . . . but I don't have to agree it is the best for America.

Europe is moving closer and closer to socialism. From Government ordered Gun registries and confiscation to socialized health care.

 

I think our President should listen to and respect the opinions of our "Allies" (not sure how many we actually have left in Europe now even though we have lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers in two different wars defending their right to freedom), but the President must be willing to make the tough decision. He is not running for class president where he/she needs to be the most popular person. I am voting for the person I think we can trust to put America first and foremost in any decision that he/she makes.

:thumb: I am for that regardless if Mccain wins the election or not, Obama and Clintons to Europe?.............I'm in :ylsuper:, let's leave McCain out of it (I am not that convinced on him) and just trade them for a bottle of wine or someting.

That's funny, because I'm still looking for the "sea" we go "over" to get products from Canada and Mexico. Come to think of it, a lot of our imports from Columbia, Honduras, and points south of those countries come through Mexico as well.

 

You must be referring to that "sea" of illegal immigrants that have to be negotiated through in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California.

Europeans don't hate America. Many of them hate American policies. I hate our Iraq policy and about 90% of our foreign policy for the last 7 years.

OK first. I said European people don't hate Americans they hate our government's policies. A lot of people in the Middle East hate our government b/c of our support of Israel but couldn't care less about us citizens. Secondly. My "Bush hate" as you would call it has nothing to do with why I've hated 90% of our foreign policy. On 9-12 I almost joined the Air Force but my family talked me out of it so that tells you something about how I felt about Afghanistan. Iraq and the consequences of that catastrophic blunder has and will cause problems for years to come. Our image around the world has been hurt b/c of it and hopefully the next administration will be able to shore up our allies before the next big crisis hits.
