February 27, 200818 yr Europe and what they think about America shouldn't matter. I don't want an American president to try to pander to the Europeans over "OUR" policies. We need to stand strong. I don't expect Europeans to like our policies. I don't like theirs. If I did, I would probably move over there. It has nothing to do with respect. You can respect others or their opinions without necessarily liking or agreeing with them. I can respect European policy for just that, European policy . . . but I don't have to agree it is the best for America.

This was actually misquoted on several occassions as "Our vast majority of imports come from overseas." Either way, it is not good wording on a very middle school economics term.
