Let's say that Mitch never expressed any concern and a rebuilding UK loses to UL and then loses to Norfolk State. Imagine the cries for Mitch's job for agreeing to that scheduling mess if that was to occur?

Having 8 days to prepare for UL is not as vital as only having 4 days to prepare for Norfolk State. Surely you would agree that there is a big difference between 8 days and 4 days.

Why would Louisville schedule the Ironman to go right by the stadium on a day they had a home football game scheduled?

1 - I am glad that you are owning the joy of it getting under our skins as fans. I wish Mitch would man up and do the same

2 - The football schedule is done after the Ironman logistics

I'd still like to see what Coach Brooks has to say on the situation. As it stands right now it looks more and more like Barnhart trying to get under UL's skin. Which is a shame, as high scoring as these two teams have been the last few seasons another good game or two in the series might convince ESPN to pick up the game whenever its played. I do think it would be worth the risk for UK to go ahead and move the game.

Awful petty to enjoy another fan base wanting what's best for their home game. What's good for the goose and what not.

 

It sounds like Sunday is not an option and I would guess UL has nothing to do with scheduling something like an Ironman event.

 

Wasn't the basketball game moved because of scheduling conflicts at Freedom Hall? Again out of the hands of UL.
