Does he also play basketball for the Indians?

Yes he does, right now he is unsure if he wants to play again next year or if he wants to focus on basketball. Personalty I think he will come back and play especially since he has been on the varsity team since his freshman year.

IMO his future in football is much brighter than his future in basketball.

I agree, he has real potential to be a big time receiver. A 6'3" or 4" receiver who can run and jump is an absolute treasure in football, at any level. In basketball you better be able to play guard at the next level.

He is certainly set to have a huge year. I can see him getting lots of attention.

Really? He could get looks in both sports!IMO! But that is a tough decision for a kid. Have seen him play basketball and seems him and Rash will carry that class next year?

I have seen both players play basketball, both are good players and will carry them next year ,you are correct. With the size of these two, the wing span, the jumping ability, the foot speed, playing football next year they could carry Montgomery football to the next level, and carry themselves into the all-state ballots. Both great athletes they can play football and basketball next year with great success. 6'3 to 6'4 strong and quick at skilled positions at the next level in football are much more attractive to big time division 1 schools than the same physical stats in basketball at division 1 schools. Anyone who knows anything about these 2 sports at the next level knows this.

Coach Gooch and is staff are building this program the right way. I believe he just had knee replacement, so that shows you how much this guy works! :ylsuper:

Coach Gooch was liked by many from Apollo. Montgomery Co. got them a good one from Daviess Co. Good Luck Montgomery Co. and Coach Gooch

Great comment. And I agree. I hope he heals up quick from the knee surgery.

I can see them going 7-3 next season.

I can see that as well, possibly 8-2, tough district competition. Who does MC have at the RB's?

They return Tyler Cundiff and Ryan Hackworth. Also Cody Groves can play RB. Zack Hood will be the fullback/big boss/TE. Hackworth had a few 100 yard games last year, if I remember correctly he had around 140 or so aganist Johnson Central during the regular season. Cundiff started about half the year at tailback.

Hackworth can FLY!

Hackworth can FLY!

Yes he can fly, but needs to work hard this spring and summer. MC still needs Cody Curtis at running back, and the entire basketball team all in uniform.

My reason for saying we need the entire basketball team is this whole bunch is the most athletic, longest group of kids we have had at MC in a long time. I have been impressed with their hands and feet and watching MC football some last year I feel like this was all they were needing to take them to Louisville this year and the athletes are there.Lincoln Co. is a great example of this. Their top 4 basketball players are leaders on the gridiron and their program is sniffing up I-64 as we speak.
