I bet it's 5x that rate on TCP. You guys are great. Any Duke post on here proves that UK fans are irrational idiots for disliking a team they barely play, blah blah blah. Identical posts from other message boards, however, don't prove anything. Great logic.

I have found in my days on BGP there are a few I over look and if some of our other fans did the same they would fade away.

February 22, 200818 yr I have started many threads on this in the past, and never received a real answer, I don't get the fascination with Duke by UK fans. When is the last time they even played? It's not a rivalry. If it really stems from one game 15 years ago then it's really odd. What's funny is Duke fans don't give two wooden nickels about UK. It's the most fascinating one sided hatred I've ever seen. The reason they haven't played is because UK has tried to get a "home and home" with Duke but coach K always refuses. This is consistent with the article saying that Duke will not go on the road in the conference. Coach K has offered to host UK and then play a neutral site game but he will not come to Rupp under any circumstances!

Like I said in the other post, a handful of posts doesn't mean anything. When Duke loses, this place and TCP have a party. It's a question of scale. There are going to be a handful of people among every fan base that doesn't like them. But with UK fans, it's almost universal derision, and it's completely illogical.

I do, however, get a great deal of laughter over the irrational behavior of its fans.

February 22, 200818 yr I have nothing against Duke... I don't care that people dislike Duke and I don't care what their reasoning is... I guess it's just that thinking coming out that makes me wonder why it bothers other people so bad that people don't like Duke... Why is it a big deal?
February 22, 200818 yr I think it's more the player that hit the shot, and what that player did earlier in the game that make most UK fans hate Duke. :thumb: Very true!!! Also add Coach Commercial into the equation and the hate becomes even greater!!!!
