:banana: Very solid win for the Cards.

Agreed. All around night.

The dunk (that SHOULD have been dunked) at the end was by Jerry Smith.

As for the game, another very solid win for the Cards. Syracuse kept throwing punches, and UL kept holding them off. I'm proud of the way the guys kept their cool with the TERRIBLE officiating at certain points (Jim Burr is the worst official in D1...).

Wireman to answer your last question....Tello needs to quit jacking up ridiculous three's. He cost us the UConn game IMO, and somebody needs to pull the reigns back on him.

Go Cards. On to Pitt. :ylsuper:

Louisville is really playing well right now and at the right time of the season. They will make a deep run in March imo.

They stopped a Syracuse run late when the Orange pulled to within 4.

One real dissapointing thing about this (besides U.L. winning (j/k) :D) was imo when the U.L. player threw down a slam at the end of the game. That was not needed and he should have just let the clock run out without a shot, let alone a slam dunk - the game was over, as they say (act like you have done it before;)). JMO.

Not for nothing, U of L covered because of that shot...not saying anything crazy, I just found it funny.

Sorry BoondockSaint!!! I had a brain spasm or something. It was Smith.

A few things....

1 - U of L didn't have to score, I don't care either way if they did or not, some programs wouldn't do that...

2 - It's actually a gigantic win, IMO

3 - Tello didn't cost U of L anywhere near the game against UConn....40 minutes did that.

The finishing kick the Cards have shown this year of late is very encouraging.

Like Eric Crawford wrote this morning, the Cards are like Street Sense...

Glad to see the Cards get another win and be in the rankings.

The only bad thing I see is UL only has one brain and when Padgett is on the bench they sure do struggle. After saying that good win for the Cards they are deep and I thought that was the difference in the game.

They don't struggle EVERY time he is on the bench. Syracuse's zone was very long, and without Padgett in the middle (nobody else draws a crowd like him at the top of the key), they had to work a little harder to get open.

1) The dunk by Williams was PRAISED by his teammates. They know what he can do. Besides, Padgett said he thought T-Will was going to pass it off... you think Syracuse (who thrives on breaking fastbreaks and creating turnovers on extra passes) didn't anticipate the pass?

2) I thought the second dunk by Smith at the end was overmuch, but, what I hear later is that Syracuse players had quite the mouth. They really got under Jerry's skin after he picked up the offensive foul when Flynn flopped like a bad musical on Broadway. If you saw it, Flynn got up laughing and trying to get Smith mad; well, careful what you wish for...

Big Win for the Cards. The Orangemen are a solid team.

They proved tonight they can win with Padgett not being the leader. I thought Knowles was awesome tonight on defense. Mcgee shot lights out. Earl Clark was the difference.

Great to see Preston Knowles called out for his defensive pressure:ylsuper:

He will be a great one before he is done!

I thought both dunks by Smith were completely necessary. How often does a guy Smith's size get a chance to dunk in-game? They were awesome. Go Cards.

Glad to see the Cards win. While getting shots to fall seemed impossible...they made them when the counted the most.

Sosa still gets on my nerves!!!!
