Next football re-alignment

It is fair because you are wrong Knute, public schools can accept any students they choose to accept from outside their district.

Would you rather beat 16 teams or 55 in the bunched up middle classes?? I still think a school that can draw from anywhere and not call it recruiting has an advantage over a neighborhood/public school. Can anyone tell me... how this is fair?? Private and independents have an advantage over a public school by what they are allowed to do. When does High school sports equal an all-star team with kids from any county or state?? All privates should be put in the super class or have a big multiplier on them to get them in a higher division where schools with 500 boys can compete.

OK, for the second time in this thread. This is not my idea, I don't even approve of this format for a new allignment. I just broke the teams down this way, after it was brought up, by someone else. It is not my preference.

As Guru said, you are wrong about the fairness. The limitation, is a self imposed restriction.

Now please. back to the subject of realignment, not a public/private debate.

Just for discussion, if you had 16 teams in class A, I could see Harlan being in a 4 team district with Williamsburg, Jenkins, and Pineville, but are the other 12 in close enough proximity to play each other in order to have a playoff system?

What about the idea for football we base classes strictly on the male enrollment in a school? It may be like that now I'm not sure but that could level the playing field some in the classes.

That is what they did this last time around.

Ram,

Your proposal isn't too bad, but you should have put more thought into it. Maybe you could work the kinks out and get back to us.

Don't even start that.:D

So there are two different set of rules -those that practice recruiting players from their school district and those that recruit from everywhere?

This is not a debate at all... you asked for opinions and I gave mine on reallignment ONLY, your opinon is just that... I would never say you were wrong... but again until the issue of private and public is worked out... this will be the only issue that is debated with such emotion.
