Guys! I know its a dream for kids to play Division I but you know there is nothing wrong playing DII, DIII, or NAIA. You take Georgetown's Men's program or Campbellsville University, they are mostly all DI transfers and are playing NAIA. National recognition, tv exposure, newspaper, and getting an education upon that. I know they may not all graduate but talking to so many people that has played at both levels, bottom line is that everybody is different and it takes different people to make a world. A lot of people don't know about Division II. Hey, Virginia Union, Virginia State, Bowie State, Livingstone, etc.... Guys these teams in Division II produce great NBA players, and a lot of people around here doesn't know that. Division II produces lots of NBA players, big time! Just because someone is DI doesn't give the inclusive and trademark that its a better situation for a kid. But just remember, if you live right, pray everyday, and do the right thing, the good guy up above will take care of you and will put you where he wants you to be anyway. :thumb:

Are you freaking serious? You're getting on a high school kids MySpace who you've never had any contact with, give the kid some privacy... And if I'm not mistaken, isn't everyone on Elliot's team a year older than what they play??? I may be wrong, I didn't look up their MySpaces...

For what it's worth I came across it from one of Elliott's players. He was listed as a friend on one of Elliott's players. And no, everyone on EC is age appropriate.

Didnt Scottie Pippen play at Virginia Union?

Just curious after reading about the many Division I and "high D-I" players in this game, how many D-I's did the entire state put out last year, much less "high D-I players"??

Statmaster: If I'm not mistaken, Scotie Pippen played for Central Arkansas which I believe is a Division II school. A couple of years ago, there was a kid from Rowan County, Bryant Furman, his mother went to the same school as Scottie Pippen and were good friends. I actually saw a Central Arkansas magazine that had his mother and Scottie Pippen on the front cover. That is very impressive. Her son, Bryant Furman, was a good player back in the day. :thumb: I'm in my 50's and I remember when he played back in Central Arkansas.

He doesnt handle it that much. The Faulkners do all that.

 

He handles it plenty enough to rack up tunover's if he didn't have good handle's. I have even saw him run the point a couple time's this season and he did an excellant job.

I don't think none of us know what Billy G. wants. There are several nice players besides Miller that were on the court tonight for both sides.

 

There's only one out there with the size, quickness.and skills (TALENT)that CAN play for Ky and he's going to have work harder than he's ever worked before to play there. I agree,there's other nice players out there that will play some where else in college but not at Ky. I wonder if anyone on here have seen any of Georgetown College games , if not you should see one ,It takes a lot of talent to play there and a lot of toughness. That's the size school I see a few these other kids are fitted for. I've seen a lot of good three point shooters this year that won't play any college ball anywhere because that's all they can do and are lacking in other skills . You could see a big change in Mason Co' play everytime Miller left the game. I think Middleton made a very wise choice going to Georgetown and that it would be great to play there. I love that small school atmosphere. Sometimes as parents and fans we get in our heads that players are better than they actually are. Ferguson is a great shooter .:ylsuper:

You have to be crazy to believe that the teams in the Sweet Sixteen at the end of the year are the top 16 teams in the state!

Take all the good teams from the Lex and Louisville area plus a few others lile Mason Co and you could see some good close games all through the state tournament. About 6 teams that reach the state tournament are very weak and makes for a bad first round. :thumb:

We may not have to wait that long. The 16th and 10th regions drew each other in the State Tourney.

They will definitely meet again that is a gimme. East Carter and Raceland will make some noise but I foresee Elliott definitely owning the 16th crown. And unless there is a total misalignment of the planets Mason will own the 10th.

I agree with you SugarDaddy. Ethan plays a huge role. He isn't the quickest kid on the floor but he has great instincts, and is very long. He can pull down some boards. Also, he is shooting something like 55% from the field, and averages close to 10 or 12 a game.

I think Mason Co. enrollment is around 790......Maybe in North Dakota they would be considered a big school......:jump:

 

Without question Mason Co.'s program delivers quality basketball. Not the enrollment.

If enrollment mattered most, then teams from Louisville and Lexington would win the state hands down every year.

 

Also, Mason Co. would loose about half or maybe more of its games per year.
