February 15, 200818 yr Three tough games remaining before the SCAC Tournament. http://www.d3hoops.com/top25/
February 15, 200818 yr My brother is going to the tournament down near Little Rock. I wish I could go with him!
February 15, 200818 yr Check out Thomas More at 21-0 and #5 in the womens poll! Kentucky representing!
February 15, 200818 yr Its weird that Centre is #3 in the nation. I live in Danville and I have never heard Centre basketball mentioned once, not even once. I don't even know where they play their games at.
February 15, 200818 yr You need to get out more Wireman. They are all over amnews.com I'm not talking about reading in the paper or Internet. I'm talking about actually hearing anyone talk about them.
February 15, 200818 yr Author I'm not talking about reading in the paper or Internet. I'm talking about actually hearing anyone talk about them. Danville's a great town, but I bet not too many Danville residents are Centre alums.

I'm actually a Morehead State alum, but I just thought it was odd that you never hear anyone talk about Centre. I would probably go check out a few games if I even knew where they played at, lol.

Maybe it's because of their private school status but most in the community don't come out and support the Colonels (Or at least they didn't in the 80's). Centre had a great program under Tom Bryant and it sounds like it's still doing well. The women's program also went to the Final Four once or twice. BTW, the gymn is on the block in front of the Football field and a block over from the Arts Center.

February 15, 200818 yr Where is the football field? :scared:  Do you know where the campus is? The gym and football field are located off of Walnut Street ( or is it MLK street now?) I can't remember the street name but there used to be a swimming pool across that small street from the Athletic offices and gym. If you are on Main street, turn between the park beside the First Presbyterian Church and the large open area where the Centre Cafeteria building used to be. (I don't know, it could still be there now) Aww, forget it. Just call the Chamber and they'll direct you.:lol::lol:
