February 14, 200818 yr I don't think this will happen on Friday. There is no way the AD has let this slip out to anyone if it's true. Why wait Friday, Why not do it today? You have an out in his contract. The real problem is the AD. He dropped the ball when he made this hire. I say He and Sampson both have to go. The AD knew his history. As for IU, they deserve punishment. They knew Sampson was a cheater. IU should do the Following to help make the Punishment light. 1. Do not accept a bid to the NCAA tourney. 1-year ban 2. Tell the kids in question to go elsewhere. 3. Fire your Coach. 4. Take away 1 scholarship over the next 2 seasons. 5. Pay the NCAA a big sum of cash. Name Bob Knight AD
February 14, 200818 yr Name Bob Knight AD While that would be great, don't think it would happen. What COULD happen is to name him the lead or on the next coach search committee.
February 14, 200818 yr Isaiah needs a new job. Hey--IU is in trouble but I don't think they warrant the Death Penalty.
February 14, 200818 yr I would like to see Knight return but I don't think it will happen. Will the order the AD to resign also?
February 14, 200818 yr Hey--IU is in trouble but I don't think they warrant the Death Penalty. That's funny right there, I don't care who you are.
February 14, 200818 yr The Bobby Knight hire won't happen probably but the timing is just too ironic.
February 14, 200818 yr FWIW, on the Joe B and Denny show, they both said there was no way Bobby would go back.
February 14, 200818 yr A shocking development if true. I think Eddie Sutton is available, give him a good team and he can get 900 victories!
February 14, 200818 yr I'd bet the ranch that the AD gets fired too. I also think the University President may be a bit nervous as well.
February 14, 200818 yr Kent Benson gave back his season tickets when they hired Sampson. Said he is staying away until AD/Coach are both gone. When UK was looking for a coach I couldn't think of many people I thought would be a good fit, and still feel the same for the Hoosiers.
