But Fort Campbell did beat Newport Catholic, which beat Beechwood late in the regular season.

LCA and a sophomore quarterback hung 35 on them. Why couldn't Fort Campbell control the line of scrimmage and pound away at Beechwood, just like they did to Newport Catholic?

 

Newport Catholic's offense could do nothing against the defense of Fort Campbell. I'm not sure if Beechwood's could have, either.

It's awfully hard to justify Beechwood over Fort Campbell, given what we know ...

I'm a NewCath fan, so I can say this, that game is a toss up. I would give Ft. Campbell the slight edge on athleticism.
