Do you wear a "Cross?"

Featured Replies

Right. No one could possibly figure out what that cross meant, being the dominant emblem of the dominant religion of the dominant half of the world. Why, I can barely recall what it signified in the first place...
Actually, it's kind of like taking Christ out of Christmas. :p

If I do not wear a cross or if I cannot recite scripture on demand when Alabama Larry meets me, what does that say about me?

That you're a non-cross wearing person who can't recite scripture? :sssh:

That's all I've got.

Alabama Larry would not say anything about your scripture knowledge, and just hug you and tell you how much he enjoys you on BGPs. He would pray for you, and if you had any questions.....

He might mention something about his college football teams 12 National Championships.

Tell me what it is you're looking for. I may want to call you one myself.

OK. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't some scripture test I had to pass based on your meeting of the other guy. In case I'm strolling through the 'Ville, I need to make sure I'm prepared for the AL meeting.:lol:

BTW, nice touch on the 12 championships comment. Smooth.

Please educate me on what is a Scapular Cross.
The Scapular Cross is made up of 5 Christian symbols.

The Sacred Heart, Jesus who presents his heart as the font for peace and tranquility.

The Blessed Virgin, the image of humility and chastity, the token of maternal protection, not only in life but also after death.

St. Christopher, the protector of travelers.

Our Lady of Miracles (which is not on mine but is on this one, I’m' not sure of the symbol on mine) the token of protection and the source of grace and, of course, the Holy Spirit representing God.

Yes, I wear one.

Isn't a cross with Jesus on it a graven image ? just wondering.

I don't understand...:confused::confused:

I wear the below everyday...my grandfather wore it everyday for about 30+ years, when he passed in 2002, my grandmother asked me to wear it. I do so gratefully. The chain has been broken twice and our family's jeweler tells me not to repair the chain, but I feel that I have to, until it can not be repaired anymore....

You do too...:p

Let's not go there...leave it alone...:scared::D
