Who is the best college basketball player to ever come out of the state of Kentucky? Where does Chris Lofton Rank among them? He is by far the best active player.

He's middle of the pack. Wes Unseld may be the best.

Darrell Griffith and Wes Unseld come to mind.

Tom Thacker comes to mind.

Wah Wah Jones comes to mind.

Clem Haskins....

Cliff Hagan's got to be up there, as is Rex Chapman.

Allen Houston as well

Middle of the pack? There have been thousands of players come out of the state. You think he is just top 500???

I'd say he's easily one of the 100 best to come out of the state.

Wow. I just think thats crazy. Even though you say easily, you mean to tell me there are 75+ players better?

I say he is at least top 25 and that may be very conservative.

Put your five best ever on a team by position and see where he comes in.

I would say I'm surprised coming from you, but that would be a lie...

Lofton is a top 25-50 player.

Lofton's probably in the top 50-75 wouldn't put him any higher. He can shoot and has developed somewhat of a game of the drive, but I wouldn't rate his defense real high. Wes Unseld would be my number 1.

I'd go with Griffith. I thought Dirk Minnifield was pretty tough

Alan Houston

Jamal Mashburn

Wes Unseld

Darrell Griffith

Sam Bowie

Sam Bowie and Jamal Mashburn are not from Ky.
