There are two types of people, ...

 

I've heard people make this statement regarding many different personality traits.

 

For example;

 

My dad always told me "There are two type of people, there are givers and there are takers." It his simple message is a lot of truth and he wanted me to be a giver.

 

A do-it-yourself-type friend of mine once told me "there are two types of people in this world, those who have pulled the motor out of a car, and those who haven't"

 

Then, Robert Benchley said "There are two kinds of people in the world: Those who believe there are two kinds of people in the world and those who don't." LOL

 

 

So I ask you, what do you believe? Are there really only two types of people in this world? And what are they?

Here is one of my own:

 

There are basically two types of people in this world;

 

Those who understand that life is full of problems and instead of letting them affect their outlook on the universe, they approach it with rational thought and deal with it in a normal manner; and

 

Those who find the slightest problem an irritant they cannot deal with and immediatley voice their anger and threaten to sue anyone within reach.

There are givers and there are takers. There are people who can handle it and some who can't. There are some that can take it and some that can't.

 

I think that there are people who would take until the cows come home but they don't have the first idea of how to give.

 

I think there are people who couldn't handle a situation if their lives depended on it and will always look to others to take care of the situation for them.

 

I think there are people who can withstand so much trouble and just deal with it in the best way they can and there are others who would just crawl in a corner and not come out.

 

I hope I am a giver, a handler, and a solver. If I'm not, then I have misunderstood me for a lifetime.

And then there's the rest of us.

 

I agree with yours tusi, I really don't understand people that harp on every little thing that happen. I think it goes to prove that there two kinds of people: strong and weak.

 

Depending on what your situation you are taking about, there are two approaches to that given situation, which makes the statement, "there are two kinds of people", true. Some will take option A and others will take option B. Not that one answer is obviously wrong, but a certain kind of person would choose option A, and the other kind of person would choose option B.

 

Givers/Takers, talkers/doers, straight talkers/double talkers, action/inaction, strong/weak, attention gitters/ attention givers, and angry/meek. There are many examples, but many would fit into one of each of these categories.

There are many different kinds of people in the world.

Here is one of my own:

The first group sounds like the Stoics and the second group sounds like what influenced the Stoics to come up with their philosophy.

One that understands that 5 cents will get you a lot of talk and a cup of coffee and those who don't spend the 5 cents, they just make their own coffee.

 

Those who beat around the bush, and those who just come straight to the point.

 

Those who will always be used and will never say no...and the one's who use.
