The Sanford kid from Cawood during the Mid 80' was a great dunker.

 

Nick Sanford was more of a pure scorer rather than a guy that would just dunk on you. I do think that Nick was the best to ever play in the county but Thomas was one that would dunk on you if he got a chance.

Lawrence Buell and Nick Sanford. Haven't heard those names in awhile. Buell was about 6'4" and a lefty if I remember. He was tough. Nick Sanford was also tough. He had an older brother that played a few years before him as well. Not as good as Nick though. Another "sick" dunker was Allen McCowan from Bryan Station. Dante Gay was at Sue Bennett college in London his freshman year in college, not sure when/if he made it to Georgia State. He was more than 5'9" I think though.

I don't think Andre and Joe H. are on the same level as far as dunking. Stevie could get up, but again I think its a different level.

But seriously, I would have to say Donnie Rigsby or Jeff Watkins would be the top two for Raceland. Jacob Sparks can get up there too. He finished off a nice alley-oop from Boyles earlier this season.

I've seen him dunk over here at Deming during the Class A Tournament. Still one of the best I've seen dunking.

Gayle Conley from Deming could touch top of square in the late 80's. He brought the Devils off their feet on many occasions in Mt.Olivet.

 

Yeah Gayle was a pretty exciting player back then, I would also through in Troy King, the King Twins dad, he could leap also. Altough Gayle was a little better leaper back then.
