Where does Lincoln turn...

Featured Replies

Oh sure....Lincoln lets Larry French get away and Buchanan is ready and willing to go to Lincoln. Lincoln will have to settle for an unproven HC, a good coordinator.

What a mistake by Lincoln.......

I think you (and French) might be thinking different by the end of next season.

Why is Perry so high on peoples list he has a 20-23 record at Washington Co.

Mr Netwiork could you tell me why Coach Jaggers last season at Lincoln was so bad he is a much better football coach than a 2-8 record.

Do you think Buchanan will leave Mason? Also, do you think French will be sorry he went to Boyle?

No doubt on this, Boyle got a great coach.

It was Larry French's choice, not Lincoln County's. How is that a mistake by Lincoln County?

Your post is nonsense

I hope Lincoln gets a high profile HC. But I think you are mistaken if you don't think another high profile coach isn't going to ask himself what he is walking into.

We all know French made the decision. You can't make him coach there...but he has had plenty of success.

So, why would he leave?

Is the basketball program taking a front seat at Lincoln?

I think coach French will be just fine on the other hand the A.D. might tone down on the scedule because its hard to stay healthy and win playing that kid of compatition week after week.

Do you even know anything about Buchanan, except that he coaches at Mason Co and plays in a very weak district, or are you just speculating?

Let me tell you what I do know.

1) The Royals played at Highlands in 2003 and lost by 7 in the semifinals.

2) In 2006 Mason beat Frankfort and Frankfort beat Danville, of which we all know Danville is no slouch.

3) Some teams they've beaten: Tates Creek, Lafayette, Breathitt, Russell... those are some of their biggest wins.

4) Buchanan coached the KY All-Stars in 2005 beating the TN All-Stars. That position is voted on by your peers of coaches.

So, hope that tells you a little bit of what Coach Buchanan has done and can do.:thumb:

Excellent answer hammer. :thumb:

Buchanan is winning in a school that never won in football before and he's done it with class.

Thanks for the compliment. :D And AMEN! Buchanan went to a 'basketball' school and built a football program that IMO is respected by many. :thumb:

Seems like a good canidate for the Lincoln Co. job but seems like he has some very deep roots at Mason Co.ad if some how Lincoln culd get him away from Mason CO. IMO it would be a geat choice instead of a former assitant.

Buchanan has been at Mason Co. for 12 years. He has strong ties to both Boyle Co and Mercer Co, so I guess you could say his 'roots' are in Central KY, but he has dug in at Mason Co and built a good program. I agree, Lincoln would do very well to hire him.

Scott Rogers would be a good coach, he has won championships before. He also knows the administration along with the program.

Wasn't that the head of the boosters??? I

Has Buchanan ever won a championship?

And Kentucky beat LSU and LSU won the National Championchip!

My personal wishlist:

Mike Settles (Bullit East)

Clay Clevenger (even though he had a rough year at Henderson)

Mark Perry (Washington)

If those three don't suffice, we could always revert back to Guy Morris.

Looks like a top list!!!
