Well this all got started because everybody accused Elliott of doing that(leaving starters in whole game). I have posted more than once that they aren't. I know because my kid is a starter and I posted twice that he is only averaging 2 1/2- 2 3/4 quarters a game in the 16th. No one wants to believe that and let it go. They just keep on and I just keep on defending as would you if shoe was reversed and you had dog in race. For last time If a starter is in in the 4th odds are he sat out the second or if he was in most of second he was out most of 4th!! I know because I have every game Elliott has played in the last 4 years on video!!!

 

Noone brought up Elliott Co in this thread until you did. There was no arguement with playing time, conditioning, or development of younger players until you brought Elliott Co into this thread. Post something relevant to the thread or leave it be. That's what this is for. I was hoping to use this thread to help me be informed with the Mason Co vs Pendleton Co game. That's all.

Any old 38th district (AHS, BCHS, DHS, PCHS) fans know the last time PC lost to Deming and Augusta in the same year? I don't and was curious.

This game could have been 100-30 had the Mason County coaching staff elected to go that route. Starters played about 11 minutes out of 32 by my count. There were leads of 34-5 and 53-12. Looks like tough times in Falmouth for a while.

I'm not a Mason County fan and was at the game. Believe me Mason Co. and their players went out of their way not to run the score up. Miller could have scored freely at any time and only finished with around 8 pts.

PC did have a nice following i was impressed with that.

Noboby in this thread has mentioned that four players from Pendleton quit including two starters right before the Mason Game. This could have been terrible. Mason played the first quarter only. Starters played second & third QTRS but no press and was very passive. Two Sophmores and three Freshman played the entire 4th with a Junior sub in for about 2 minutes.

To put an end to the thought of Mason running the score up, Coach Simms thanked the Mason coaching staff for playing the bench which consisted of 3 freshmen that were moved up last night. A lot of players that have seen little or no action received plenty of PT last night.

Not necessarily right before and they were not starters in their last game. Pendleton played their last game in Ashland with the same team that came to Mason. I think that was the last straw for them on quitting.

I don't understand why it is so hard to believe that Mason County is just that much better than Pendleton County this season. The Royals are one of the best teams in the state, they're going to beat teams this bad, especially a depleted Wildcat team.

Listened to part of the game. Kudos to Mason's coach for playing his bench. Mason is just simply a far superior team to PC.

It's not hard to believe, and I don't think anyone is questioning it. It's pretty easy to see by the score.

 

Here's what is hard for people to understand......

The team that Pendleton Co. had in 2004-2006 is not a typical PC team. However, so many people on this site knew nothing of the Wildcats until they started reading about them during the 04-05 season. That was a great team and a great time to be a Wildcat fan. Unfortunately, a team like that comes to Pendleton Co. about every 30-35 years. This year's team is a bit more like what PC fans are used to....maybe a bit worse with the recent happenings.

For right now but the Florence twins and addition to them is Micheal Walsh are very capable of being the next team to go to state from PC. There gonna be my dark horse to win the 10th in 2011. Agreed most certainly though PC as whole will be going threw tough times in the next 2 seasons for sure. Really though getting beat by Mason County by 40 isn't bad considering they have had 4 players quit on varsity and Miller, Setty and Middleton are all studs.
