Mason Co 77 Pendleton Co 33

For right now but the Florence twins and addition to them is Micheal Walsh are very capable of being the next team to go to state from PC. There gonna be my dark horse to win the 10th in 2011. Agreed most certainly though PC as whole will be going threw tough times in the next 2 seasons for sure. Really though getting beat by Mason County by 40 isn't bad considering they have had 4 players quit on varsity and Miller, Setty and Middleton are all studs.

But, it could have been as many as they wanted it to be, and the starters didn't play much.

Here's an oddity: Mason County has played 14 games this season (12-2) and only two of those games were not tournament games. Those were home games with Covington Catholic on December 7th and Scott High on December 14th.

It doesn't get much different over the next week. Two more (most likely) games in the Mason County Invitational. Scott County at home next Friday in the U.S. Bank Classic, followed by a trip to Catholic next Saturday for the Nissan Shootout against Atlanta Centennial!

Here's the current breakdown:

*Two games in the Commodore Classic at Tates Creek

*One game at the Farm Bureau Classic at Pikeville

*Four games at the Iolani Classic in Hawaii

*Four games at the Fifth/Third Bank Classic at Lexington Catholic

*First of three games at the Mason County Invitational

Tex--What's going on down Falmouth way? Now it's 4 that quit? I know you said Lambert and 2 seniors, but now another? Kinda unusual during the season?

It's not hard to believe, and I don't think anyone is questioning it. It's pretty easy to see by the score.

Here's what is hard for people to understand......

The team that Pendleton Co. had in 2004-2006 is not a typical PC team. However, so many people on this site knew nothing of the Wildcats until they started reading about them during the 04-05 season. That was a great team and a great time to be a Wildcat fan. Unfortunately, a team like that comes to Pendleton Co. about every 30-35 years. This year's team is a bit more like what PC fans are used to....maybe a bit worse with the recent happenings.

Amen! Good observation Kitty.:thumb:

3 quit and one was asked to leave the team when he wouldn't abide by team rules.

Of the 3, 2 quit after the coaching staff went to younger players with the playing time. The other was called out by his own teammates for his attitude. He quit soon after.

Doubt that about 2011!:ylsuper:

PC will have some talent coming up in the future. These players coming up might just be able to put some life back into Falmouth.

Going to be very hard to get past GRC and Mason Co. in 2011.

A wild year in the 10th.:dancingpa

Thanks--That's a shame, but sometimes you need to take a step backwards to move ahead. Hats off to the kids that had the guts to stay and are playing despite the tough times. They will be better MEN for their efforts, and the program will be better off in the long run!!
