I am a PC fan and no way would Coach O'Hearn or his kids would of run the score up.

Mason County's program is nothin but a class act period!

By the way did PC's Freshmen start or get to play?

I was kinda listening to the game and it sounded like they played a few 9th graders, don't know how many for sure.

So its okay for Mason to beat someone 40 but not Elliott!!!!:rolleyes:

I bet the Coach was just trying to pad it up for the rankings:rolleyes:

He played the starters for about 10-12 minutes. He played the JV players for 12-14 minutes, and the freshmen the entire 4th quarter.

Well said HoopDR.

I'm not a Mason County fan and was at the game. Believe me Mason Co. and their players went out of their way not to run the score up. Miller could have scored freely at any time and only finished with around 8 pts.;)

He looked like he didn't really want to play that badly in this game.

Did the starters even play at all during the 4th? I was there, and the starters played very sparingly. This could have been a 60 point win if Mason really wanted it to be. I thought Coach O'Hearn did an excellent job with playing time for his younger kids. They all got a lot of playing time (at least 5 minutes, which is pretty good - 3 freshman) and the second group of kids played pretty much the whole game it seemed like. Mason County did not try to run up the score ( I knew that was going to be brought up because of the big win ) at all.... they could have if they wanted to, though.

The freshmen played the entire 4th. I don't think they had any subs that quarter.

We have a 9th grader in almost the whole game and in the last quarter

when were up 30 or 40 there is another 9th grader and the other two subs plays almost the whole 4th............... and!!!!! Does that stop the attacks(over the 40 point wins) that stem from Elliott having one of their best seasons in history...I tell ye nay brother!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not one to say much

normally..... but you can twist the most domicile animal in the worlds tail enough and it will bite back!! Just giving a little back:fight:

Does Elliott have to be dragged into every thread?

Glad to see Mason back on top!

Believe me guys Coach O'Hearn was very gracious here.Mason played 15 players tonight 15 and almost all of them scored. The Starters didn't play 10 minutes of the entire game.Yes the 3 Freshman played the entire 4th and combined to score about 15 points. On to Brossart and the Elliott fan running his mouth in this thread has no idea what he/she is saying by saying Mason run up the score,But i believe your team makes a visit in about 5 weeks to Maysville so we will see then.Congrats Royals,And coach simms will get things going at PC if they give him time.

Thats like saying Mason played its top 2 subs and one of the freshman along with Miller and Setty,To me that would be running up the score.Mason played 15 players tonight not 7-8.

You are absolutely right I dont know what they did just like you dont when you are running your mouth about elliotts 16th region games. If you were able to read between the lines you would know the post was sarcastic.

Ok so how many players does Elliott use in their 16 region games, I have heard from many people that attend they only go 6 deep occassionaly 7?

They only have 10 on the team sir!! They all play in most games. My kid starts and as I have posted before in most 16th region games hes only playing about 2 1/2 quarters. The easiest way to put it is Coach Mays for the most part mixes it up best he can. I'm sure sometimes someone gets overlooked but that happens everywhere. Point is he has to get his starters used to playing a lot of minutes because with just ten players they have to be conditioned to play a lot of min. especially when playing out of the 16th region. People say a lot of things that dont mean they are entirely correct

Well wouldn't that be the case for most people's starters? They are going to be playing a lot of minutes in the big games, regardless of how many people are on the team. It is no excuse for running the score up, which I'm not saying they are, because I haven't watched them play, and don't even know who they've played, etc. I'm just saying that everyone's starters have to be well-condtitioned and used to playing a lot of minutes....
