Least that is my view of things, I didn't see a number of the players that are deserving of mention so take my picks with a grain of salt. I would think though that my 1 and 2 are pretty hard to argue against though.

Although I am a Stein supporter, I think his 3rd Team All-State selection may harm his chances of Mr. Football. I thoroughly enjoyed his play at the Class AAAAAA championships..

 

I wish I made the opportunity to see Corey Robinson play... I do not know, is he another Tim Couch? If so, he has my vote. (Actually, I do not vote.) I am not totally sold on the idea that stats gets you the Mr Football recognition. If he played AAAAAA ball in Louisville and had the same stats, I would be of a different opinion.

 

Corey Farris of Boone would be my choice if I only had the three to chose from. Corey is a solid young man that is talented in Football, Baseball and probalby yachting if he had a boat!

 

If Deuce Finch had an injury free year... I think he would be the top dog in the state. Unfortunately, that did not happen for the gifted running back.

Don't know, but I don't see that it makes one bit of difference.

I think he is getting at the point that in the past a you have had to be a Senior to win the award, i believe that it is still that way.

I don't remember that requirement from just a few years ago when I was actively nominating for and voting on that award. It's possible that seniors won so often that people just assumed that underclassmen weren't eligible.

Are the soccer awards voted on the same way because Kevin Bick, junior at St X won the Mr Soccer 2007 this year. I don't know if they use the same bylaws or not.

Will Stein not being on the ballot is a travesty. Maybe this anti-Trinity goes beyond the Poplar Level loyalists but Stein is certainly within the top ten in the state.
