While digging out christmas decorations this past week, I found my original nintendo with all my games and I found my sega genesis and all the games I had for it. I have been playing both of those non-stop since I found them. And it brought back so many memories, and that got me thinking... about how many times I threw a certain game out in the yard because I couldnt be the final boss, about how I felt when I beat my neighbor at a certain sports game.

 

So lets here some of your favorite video game moments... I'll start with some of mine.

 

- Knocking out Mike Tyson on the original nintendo game.

- Beating the original Super Mario Bros. on nintendo.

- Beating Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for sega genesis.

- Beating the the first Resident Evil on playstation.

- Getting through the final song (Free Bird) on Guitar Hero 2 for ps2.

When I first got Mike Tyson's Punch Out, I could last for about 40 seconds with Mike while he was doing those uppercuts. I thought it was a victory just to dodge those vicious shots. I never thought I would beat him.

 

When I finally beat him, I ran around my neighbor hood because I was so excited.

I once threw a 99 yard touchdown pass (in the air) on Tecmo Super Bowl with the San Diego Chargers (who were just awful) to beat the New York Giants on the last play of the game. I had to run around the end zone for about 10 seconds to give my receiver long enough to run the length of the field.

Beating Contra in less than 45 minutes. It wouldn't have been that impressive but my friends and I had snuck upstairs and locked ourselves in a room with the game, and all of the jellow shots from the party. However we both walked out victorious with no jellow shots left and no other game we could've possibly attempted to play at that point.

Winning national title with UK on Ncaa 01 or 02.

I returned an interception for a touchdown on Techmo Bowl once...I believe I did it with LT.

-Beating Maximum Carnage on Sega Genesis. One of the hardest, longest games I've ever played. Ridiculously hard really.

 

-Beating Halo: Combat Evolved the first time. In retrospect it's not nearly as hard as I thought it was, but that first time was crazy

 

-One that I remember fondly is winning a game of NBA Live with a Shaq fadeaway at the buzzer, coming nearly from the three point line. I was trying to inbound the ball to him with him running to the basket, and instead he shoots this crazy 20 footer and nails it. One of those things that NEVER happens in real life.

On NCAA '01, on All American difficulty, Video Game Derek Homer torched Tennessee for 376 yards rushing, 4 rushing touchdowns, 98 yards receiving, and 2 receiving touchdowns. He even completed a halfback pass to future transfer Video Game Bobby Blizzard for 27 yards. And you know what? I STILL lost because the Vols got the ball last and Safety Video Game Quentus Cumby interfered on a pass and put the Vols in field goal range where they kicked it through with 5 seconds left to take a 52-49 lead. They kicked it to Quentin McCord who could do nothing on the return and there was no one around to try and lateral the ball. Once again, just like in real life, Video Game UK Football was crushed. Despite my 6-5 record I was not chosen for a bowl and left Kentucky and took the job at Arizona where I would win 3 National Titles over the next 7 years.

 

I SWEAR I don't keep a notebook of my video game football accomplishments. Really.

You said it, we were just going to think it to ourselves.

One of mine is from MVP baseball (I think that is what game it was) from about 3 or 4 years ago. My buddy was the Yankees and I was the Reds A farm team. Needless to say we were all shocked at the end.
