Another half an hour it would of been like 11or12. No seriously, that is what Highlands did all year. Wear down their opponent!!!!!

Dont forget Highlands handled Beechwood in the opening scrimmage. I know that was many moons ago but just thought I would throw that in there. Defeating the 3A and 4A champ, Bowling Green, Trotwood Madison, Beedchwood, would probably give them the nod as being the best this season.

 

Well said g11. I seen the 6A Championship, and there is no doubt in my mind that the Bluebirds could have beat T or X. I'm not really a Highlands fan just love high school football, IMO Highlands Bluebirds had the best team in the state this year in 2007!!!!

You must not have been there. They definitely handled them. And the JV, forget it. Boy, I wish HHS played Trinity this year. With that, I wish they would schedule them every tear. I do think HHS is "as good" as the big Louisville three "most" years. This year for sure.

And they beat the 3A state champs' date=' 4A state champs, defending 3A champs, and 4A runner-ups, and then[b'] beat the big [/b]Ohio powerhouse Trotwood, Madison. I think that you can say Highlands is the #1 team in the state!!!!

Trotwood is a strong DII team from the Columbus area. They had (I believe) 7 or 8 D1 prospects on this year's team.

Not a GCL team. They are a public school near Dayton, OH that doesn't have much playoff history and bowed out early this year as well.

They lost to Turpin who lost to Anderson on the last play of the game who won the DII State Championship..

Thanks for the info. Can you give me an idea or comparision to something I might know regarding Ohio's DII level ? Are they comparable at all to the GCL ?

 

Have you played them before ? Does HHS schedule any of the Cincy schools ?

IMO they are a distant 3rd in the state especially after watching the replay of their game. They have a very good team but they could not beat X or T.

I know HHS won when the two teams met last time in the 2000 Recreational Bowl Game, however I don't remember the score. HHS was up at halftime with a decent lead and Trinity had a great comeback to make it a good game. Anyone clarify the details of this last match up ??

Highlands beat Male in a gamelike scrimmage 34 to 7 with the halftime score being 31-0 and Highlands playing with their 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks.

(Cecil was hurt). Pretty impressive. ( Just thought I would throw Male into the picture since they are a Louisville school , and a very good one.)

I think it was Beatty's first game at Trinity. HHS got up 35-0. Trinity came back and cut it to 35-29. Highlands then scored a touchdown late in the fourth to make it 42-29. Feel free to correct.

I would put X at a distant third before I would Highlands.
