Well, guess what...we were a grand total of 0-8 against these teams in the past 20 years. Didn't win a single game. Lost 'em all! :eek:

 

But let's look a little closer. Let's see what eventually happened in the years we played those teams...

 

Lost to Moeller in 1997: (11-2) Lost to state champion Cov. Cath.

 

Lost to Elder in 1999: (14-1) State Champions

 

Lost to Elder in 2000: (14-1) State Champions

 

Lost to Elder in 2004: (14-1 on the field) State Champions

 

Lost to Colerain & Columbus DeSales in 2005: (9-4) Lost to state champion Lex Cath.

 

Lost to Elder & Columbus DeSales in 2006: (7-5) Lost to state champion Cov. Cath.

 

*We did not play Cincinnati St. Xavier during this time.

 

In the six seasons that the Birds took on these tough Cincinnati teams, their record was 69-14. They won three state championships, and bowed out to the eventual state champion the three other years.

 

So, I guess one can conclude that, if you play tough...you become tough. :thumb:
