Until Mich hires someone or he signs taht extension, I'm still under the belief there is something to this story.

I think he had a deal and then realized it was a bad idea to go into a must win SEC championship game w/ all of that talk going on. He easily could have had his extension worked out by now. Are there any new rumblings about who Michigan might be looking at? Do you have the quote button ready just in case the small possibility of him going to Michigan happens?

I guess from a financial standpoint, he believes he can get more money after the game. If LSU wins, it increases his value.
December 6, 200718 yr I don't believe Miles said "I will be the coach next year"...I think it was more like "I am the LSU coach, I will be the LSU coach..." to me, that's 'wiggle room'. I agree he is working hard to make it sound like it's a mute point...but I don't buy it. I'll be more shocked if he does NOT go to Michigan for the 2008 season when it's all said and done...I think he had a deal worked out months ago for IF / WHEN the time came....(which appears to be Jan 8, 2008)... Actually, he did say, literally, that he will be the LSU coach NEXT season. There's no wiggle room...if he bolts to Michigan, he lied, flat out. And, I don't think he's lying. He's going to be LSU's coach next season and Michigan will have to look elsewhere... Bill Callahan maybe...
